Stem Cell Research Accident Unleashes 50ft Michael J. Fox on Los Angeles
Star shakes up Downtown LA, Hollywood Sign

Los Angeles – A town known for its science disaster films was shaken up when famed actor and stem cell research advocate Michael J. Fox was inadvertently injected with radioactivity tainted stem cells during a public event to raise awareness of treatments.
The event, scheduled to promote the research after President Obama loosened federal restrictions on stem cell funding, went bad when the radioactive stem cells started growing exponentially and unchecked in the star’s body. Within the hour Fox had grown nearly ten times his usual size to over fifty feet tall and started attacking Los Angeles.
“The horror! What have we done?” said scientist Dr. Jim Günter, who injected the star in front of cameras and the Hollywood press corp.
Stem cells are undifferentiated cells that have the ability to change into any body organ or tissue when exposed under proper conditions. Scientists believe the radioactive exposure came when a grad student assistant placed the cells near a malfunctioning piece of lab equipment. While usually targeted to restore damaged organs, the radioactive cells moved through the actor’s bloodstream and started copying every type of cell in his body, and multiplying and an alarming rate.
“The danger with Mr. Fox is that the cells have gotten in his brain and rewired his higher brain functions. While it has cured his Parkinson’s, it has also caused him to revert to his more reptilian basic brain functions,” said Dr. Julie Kessler, lead scientist of the project.
The star trampled downtown Los Angeles before heading through Beverly Hills, and on to Hollywood, where he disappeared, but was believe to be heading to Montecito, home of actor Christopher Lloyd.
“Witnesses report hearing the star mumble “Got to find the Doc… Delorean”, reports local TV station KABC.
UCLA psychologist Dr. Lana Bogorovich said she believes the star is seeking help and may be confusing his past acting experience for real memories.
“Mr. Fox has may believe he is Marty McFly, and the cure may rely on Christopher Lloyd going back in time to prevent the injection from happening. Christopher Lloyd may be the key to calm Mr. Fox until doctors can attempt to treat him,” Dr. Bogorvich said.
Stem cell scientists fear this accident could set back research for years, just as it was about to take off. Hollywood insiders said it was a tragedy to see one of their own suffer such an accident. But some indicated that Mr. Fox’s agent was already negotiating film rights for the story with Universal and Fox studios. J.J. Abrahams reportedly has signed on to direct.
